Ina Garten is a popular American cookbook author over the decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa, which started in 2002. Ina began her career in creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets to the White House. While she found it interesting initially, she eventually dropped interest and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. She spent eighteen years making the shop extremely popular before letting it go before acquiring a pen and writing her first book. Numerous magazines and cookbooks came later. A different hit came from her Food Network Television show. In addition, she sells a variety of product from cooking ingredients as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina, who is self-taught she has never attended a culinary school or in an establishment. Her name is known for her unpretentious style of entertainment as well as her simple cooking.
